Frames, distance and speed
Use the calculator directly or auto-detect the current cycle to solve the missing value from its frame count, travelled distance and target speed.
A Maya tool for calculating walk-cycle speed and changing its travel or duration while keeping planted-foot contacts stable.
Problem → solution
Changing only the root travel or stretching a walk cycle on the timeline can break the relationship between the body and the planted feet. Walk Speed calculates the required motion and rebuilds the cycle as one controlled workflow.
Use the calculator directly or auto-detect the current cycle to solve the missing value from its frame count, travelled distance and target speed.
Speed Only changes how far the walk travels across the existing frame range and builds matching corrections for the body and both feet.
Frames + Speed can turn a 30-frame cycle into a 40-frame cycle, update the timeline and rebuild the corrected travel without losing foot contacts.
The tool analyzes the cycle phases and applies one coordinated travel correction to Main and both feet, keeping the body motion and planted contacts in sync.
Validated rig profiles replace unreliable universal guessing. Apply is one Maya Undo step, verifies the resulting distance and never saves the scene.
